Portion of Haskell Avenue closed for emergency waterline repair

Haskell Avenue is closed from 25th Terrace to 27th Street for an emergency waterline repair, according to the city of Lawrence.

Crews were repairing a water leak on the west side of Haskell Avenue near 26th Street when an additional water main running across Haskell ruptured, according to a news release Wednesday morning.

Traffic control is in place and detours are marked, according to the city. It was not immediately clear how long the closure would last.
