The roughly 30-page draft breaks the issues into five focus areas: Equity and Inclusion; Affordable Housing; Supportive Housing; Systems; and Emergency Shelter.

City of Lawrence and Douglas County staff members hope to bring a final plan back to their respective commissions for consideration and approval in June. Read more about the draft plan and see a PDF at this link.

From noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20, members of the plan’s steering committee will hold a listening session virtually via Zoom. Join the meeting at this link.

9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 5: In person at Union Pacific Depot, 402 N. Second St.
5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 18: In person at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont St.
