The Lawrence Electric Vehicle Showcase on Sunday allowed people to get an up-close look at electric cars, pickups, bikes, buses and more at South Park.
It was one of more than 200 community events nationwide celebrating National Drive Electric Week.
Lawrence’s Sustainability Action Network, the City of Lawrence and Lawrence Transit co-sponsored this year’s event. Commercial sponsors included Crown Volkswagen-Toyota, Evergy Clean Charge Network, Cycle Works, and Trek Bikes of Lawrence, according to a news release from organizers.
