The woman, Zipporah Koimburi, 48, was westbound on North 1700 Road near East 50 Road in a Toyota Prius just before 9:30 p.m. Monday, according to the release.

DGSO’s preliminary investigation found that Koimburi was negotiating a curve when the vehicle entered the opposite lane and collided with an eastbound Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 21-year-old woman from Olathe, according to the release.

Koimburi was taken to Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, where she died.

The other woman reported a minor injury but was not transported from the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.
