Mail carrier injured in crash north of Midland Junction

A mail carrier was injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon near the Jefferson County line, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred around 1 p.m. Thursday. The driver of a 2008 Hyundai Accent struck a mail truck in the 2000 block of East 1400 Road, north of the Midland Junction, according to a social media post from DGSO.

The mail carrier was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. The driver of the Hyundai was not injured, according to the post.
