The $1.6 million Kansas Department of Transportation project will include areas of U.S. 59 from the Kansas Highway 10 interchange to North 1100 Road and between North 800 and 900 roads, approximately, according to a news release from KDOT.

The project will start Wednesday, conditions permitting, and is expected to be complete by October.

Traffic will be reduced in one lane in the areas where crews are actively working, but all lanes of the highway will be open during non-working hours, according to the release. Work will take place Monday through Friday during daylight hours.
