The Lawrence City Band’s weekly Wednesday concerts have resumed, and the first show included a lineup from soundtracks of some familiar films and musicals.

The band, made up of volunteer musicians, played a “Wizard of Oz” medley, “Pixar Movie Magic,” “Highlights from Jersey Boys” and more for a few hundred people gathered on the South Park lawn.

Martin Bergee conducted the show, with Paul Laird announcing.

The community ensemble has been performing for more than 150 years, and every summer they play a free show for the public each week.
