The Lawrence school board will hold a special closed-door-only meeting Tuesday to discuss contract negotiations and personnel matters.

A notice of the special meeting sent Thursday evening says the board will meet in an executive session to “protect the public interest in negotiating a fair and equitable contract to discuss negotiations.” Several administrators are invited to be in attendance.

Next the board will meet in a second executive session to discuss personnel matters involving nonelected people, according to the agenda.

The meeting is set to begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 16 at district offices, 110 McDonald Drive.

The board generally does not take public comment during special meetings, and there are no regular agenda items slated for Tuesday’s meeting.
