Learn about fostering kittens at Espurresso Cat Cafe event

The Lawrence Humane Society and Lawrence’s cat cafe, Espurresso, will host an event this week to educate folks about fostering the teeniest floofs.

The event is set for 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 16 at the cafe, 1014 Massachusetts St. Attendees can learn about what kitten fostering entails and how to get started.

“We’ll go over all the basics like why kitten fosters are so critical, what fostering kittens of different ages and life stages entails, teach you some critical kitten fostering skills, and much more,” according to a post about the event.

“You’ll leave feeling better equipped, informed, and ready to begin your fostering journey!”

For those looking for furever pets, the humane society on Sunday is wrapping up its Summer VaCATion, during which adoption fees for adult cats are $25 and fees for kittens are $75. Fees will be reduced from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 14.
