Community Children’s Center will soon open CCC Southwest, an expansion that will be licensed to care for up to 77 children, the center announced in a news release Tuesday.

The new location will be at 4640 W. 27th St., which formerly housed One of a Kind Daycare. It’s about a quarter-mile west of 27th and Inverness streets.

“This expansion comes as CCC seizes an opportunity to enhance its services and support more children in our community,” the organization said in a news release Tuesday.

CCC Southwest is anticipated to open in September.

“We are glad that we can return high-quality child care capacity to our community through our collaborative efforts with the Kansas Children’s Cabinet,” said Kim Polson, CCC executive director, said in the release. “Families need care now, and we want to be part of that solution.”

CCC’s Early Childhood Community Center at 346 Maine St., which broke ground in November, is on track to open in March 2025.
