Elizabeth Keever, current chief development officer for Heartland Community Health Center, is leaving her position to become chief resource officer for Harvesters.
Keever joined the Heartland leadership team as chief development officer in May 2022.
She’s heading to the new role at Harvesters Community Food Network, a food bank that distributes food and household items to a network of smaller organizations serving 27 counties. Prior to her work at Heartland, Keever led Just Food, the Douglas County food bank, where she worked for nine years.
Heartland CEO Julie Branstrom shared the news in an email to supporters Monday morning.
“It has been an incredible journey at Heartland, and I am deeply grateful for the support and collaboration of our wonderful donors,” Keever said in the email. “Your contributions have made a profound impact, and I will carry these experiences with me as I embark on this new adventure with Harvesters.”
Branstrom wrote that she, Ash Nadeau and Chrissy Heikkila will take the lead on donor relations.
“Over the past two years that Liz has been leading development at Heartland, she has increased grant revenue and donor giving, improved our brand recognition and reputation in the community, and increased our engagement and presence at community events, amongst many other significant contributions,” Branstrom wrote in the email. “She will be greatly missed!”
Keever’s last day at Heartland will be Aug. 16, according to the email.
Harvesters’ Kansas distribution center recently relocated to northern Lawrence from Topeka.
