An online survey for Lawrence Public Schools families is now available, seeking feedback beyond the interim superintendent’s upcoming fall community engagement meetings.

The district recently announced dates for Interim Superintendent Jeanice Swift’s fall community engagement tour to find out what school families and the community at large want for the future of their children.

Swift wants to hear from families what the district is doing well and what it should continue to strengthen; where there are opportunities for improvement; and what families see as the top priorities this year, according to a district announcement.

“No one knows better the strengths and celebrations, the challenges, and areas for improvement for the future of Lawrence Public Schools than the students, school families, and staff who make up our school community and the Lawrence partners who support our work,” Swift said in a news release Thursday. “We will use what we learn to inform and align our work with the voices, needs, and direction of our community.”

The online survey is available at usd497.org/Superintendent. It will be available through Nov. 22.

“District administrators and school principals also will engage their departments, staff, site councils, and school communities in conversations about planning for our school district’s future,” according to the release.

Here are the in-person meeting dates:

• 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8 at Billy Mills Middle School, 2734 Louisiana St., co-hosted by the Lawrence Special Education Advisory Council (L-SEAC)

• 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 at Liberty Memorial Central Middle School, 1400 Massachusetts St.
