Four years ago, I voted for someone with no prosecutorial experience for Douglas County district attorney and we all know how that turned out!

I consider some members of the Loomis family to be friends. They have dedicated effort to our local community and beyond. I am not personally acquainted with Dakota Loomis but assume he is a good local guy. I truly admire the work he has done with the Douglas County Drug Court and similar efforts. He, however, has very little prosecutorial experience, as he willingly admits.

In previous years, I have served on a federal grand jury. I observed firsthand the degree of preparation those assistant U.S. attorneys put into each case. Mike Warner has served as an assistant U.S. attorney. He has also served as district attorney in various other courts. Much of his experience has been in the criminal division.

I have met Mike and visited with him. I truly believe he is a moderate Republican. Please go to his website at mikewarnerforda.com/about-mike and decide for yourself!

I am a proud Democrat but I will vote for Mike Warner this year!
