Where to see holiday lights in Lawrence – 2024 edition

It’s a bit overdue, but we’re thrilled to present our 2024 festive map of holiday homes!

Last month, we asked for help to update our map and confirm that previous years’ locations still have lights. But we didn’t receive nearly as many confirmations as we’d hoped, and then we got busy with a bunch of other things and never had a chance to set out to confirm locations ourselves.

But we’ve heard from folks hoping we’d publish an updated map, and fortunately, a Lawrence Times elf has now been able to check out many of the locations we’ve featured on our maps in previous years. We’ve also added a few new spots.

This map is dotted with red and green John Browns. Those are the locations that either we’ve confirmed or community members have submitted. The gray John Browns indicate festive homes of holidays past that we have not yet been able to confirm are aglow this year.

If you’re feeling the holiday spirit and you’d like to help us out by confirming another location or suggesting a new one, please fill out the quick form at this link. We’ll keep updating the map as long as we keep receiving confirmations. (And if you know the lights are coming back in 2025, please note that and help us get a head start for next year!)

Happy holidays, Lawrence! Thank you to all the community members who have contributed to this map in the past, all who have helped us give it a refresh this year, and all who put in the time and work to make our community even more beautiful.

Tap or click on a John Brown for more information. Red and green John Browns are confirmed sites; gray ones are still unconfirmed for 2024.

If we know there’s a cost to enter a site, we’ve noted that on the map point ($$$). We’ve also included the dates that a display will run, if we have them.

To see the list of locations, click the little box with an arrow in the top left corner of the map. To expand the map in a new window, click the little box in the top right corner.
