Note from the Times: This bestseller list comes to us straight from The Raven Book Store in Lawrence. See other editions of the list here.

Temple Grandin nearly had a clean sweep of our bestsellers for the past two weeks! The Raven sold books at a few of her talks in Iola earlier this month. Rumor has it that Grandin herself was putting books into customers’ hands afterwards, planting them in the Raven checkout line.

Brea Baker’s Rooted was also connected to an event this month: the Spencer Lecture, presented by The Commons, at Liberty Hall.  The Raven sold books at the lecture, which was titled “Another Case for Reparations: Black Land, Intergenerational Theft, and Models for Repairing Harm.”

You may not recognize the name Mariann Edgar Budde, but what if I told you she’s the bishop from whom Trump demanded an apology after she asked him to have mercy on marginalized people in her sermon on inauguration day? Her 2023 memoir, How We Learn to Be Brave, has been flying off our shelves.

Finally, Rebecca Yarros’s Onyx Storm has continued to sell generously. Despite what our website says, we do still have copies of the deluxe limited edition! And the spicy romance that’s rocking the collective world of romance readers everywhere — Ali Hazelwood’s Deep End — has earned a spot on the bestsellers list as well.
