University of Kansas students and Kansas City entertainers will join for an evening of dazzling drag performances in Lawrence.

The fifth annual Kansas Drag Showcase is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, April 19 at the Lied Center, 1600 Stewart Drive. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. for a meet-and-greet, involvement fair and photo opportunities before performances begin.

KU Student Union Activities and Student Engagement Center organized the event, according to an SUA news release.

Kansas City-based drag performers Karamella Uchawi and Southern Hxll are this year’s hosts. Eight additional performers, including four current KU students, will also take the stage.

All are stars from past Kansas Drag Showcases, according to the release.
