A portion of Kansas Highway 10 in southern Lawrence will be down to one lane during the day Thursday, and motorists should prepare for delays, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.

Conditions permitting, the portion of K-10 between the interchanges at Clinton Parkway and at Wakarusa Drive/27th Street will be reduced to one lane between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, May 1.

“Flaggers and a pilot car will direct traffic through the area. Motorists should plan for delays of up to 10 minutes,” according to a KDOT news release.

If needed, the lane reduction and pilot car operation will resume at 6 p.m. and continue until the work is complete, according to the release.

The lane reduction is part of the South Lawrence Trafficway expansion project. Read more about the ongoing project in the articles at this link.
