Two store kitties celebrated their gotcha day, the library’s summer book sale got underway, Remi the adoptable dog got to go for a walk and more Friday in downtown Lawrence.

Lawrence Times reporter Wulfe Wulfemeyer and photographer Nathan Kramer visited downtown Lawrence for an interview, and Kramer snapped some scenes from the day.

There’s no super “newsy” news here, but these photos were too fun to keep to ourselves.

The Raven Book Store was celebrating “gotcha day” for Dean and Sammy, the store’s two feline booksellers.
