Starting next week, Lawrence will see changes in traffic patterns along a stretch of 27th Street, as well as at the intersection of West Second Street and McDonald Drive.
Here are the details, according to city news releases:
27th Street between Iowa and Lawrence Avenue:
Westbound 27th Street between Iowa Street and Lawrence Avenue, which has been closed, will reopen Wednesday, Aug. 13.
Then eastbound traffic along the same strip will close for continued work as part of the city’s street maintenance program.
2nd Street and McDonald Drive intersection:
Traffic control patterns will be altered to shift lanes over at the intersection on West Second Street and McDonald Drive.
Traffic signal timing for McDonald Drive traffic will be altered appropriately.
The change, which will allow continued contractor work, takes effect Monday, August 11. This work is expected to be completed by mid-October.
