Jeffrey Skye Miller, passed away on June 24, 2025, at his home in Lawrence, KS. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas to Daniel W Miller and Vivian Bray Miller on June 2, 1981. Jeffrey was raised in North Carolina. He moved to Lawrence, Kansas after the death of his parents. Jeffrey’s son, Bruce Justin Miller preceded him in death. Jeffrey was autistic and was quite good at fixing things. He would look up videos on the internet and fix leaking faucets and clogged drains and small appliances.

He moved to Lawrence in 2019 where he learned to navigate the bus system and made routine trips downtown, to the library, and to his various doctor appointments. Jeff has a huge collection of movie DVDs. He loved putting coffee memes and cat jokes on Facebook. He also educated and advocated for autism awareness during April – Autism Awareness Month.

He wasn’t much for crowds of people, but he recently attended a No Kings Demonstration. He told everybody how much he enjoyed himself there. He felt like he was a part of history – being in the country’s biggest protest ever. A celebration of his life will be held later when the weather has cooled. Notice will be posted on his Facebook page and in the papers.
