The 27th Street intersection at Kansas Highway 10 will be closed intermittently during overnight hours this week as part of construction to expand that section of the highway to four lanes.
Work will be underway from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly Monday through Wednesday, Oct. 6-8, to place beams for the new K-10 bridge over the 27th Street/Wakarusa Drive interchange, according to a Kansas Department of Transportation news release.
There will be no detours posted, and motorists will need to use alternate routes, according to the release.
All work and traffic changes are conditions permitting, according to the release.
The project is also known as the South Lawrence Trafficway west leg expansion project. Read more about it in the articles at this link.
