Readers are welcome to peruse thousands of books for sale at $2 or less each during the Lawrence Public Library’s upcoming fall book sale.
The sale will be open to all from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 10 and 11, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12 at the library, 707 Vermont St. Shoppers should enter on the Kentucky Street side of the library.
LPL’s Friends and Foundation hosts the seasonal sales of donated books and more to support programming and services offered at the library. Volunteers organize the materials and run the sales.
Hardcover books are priced at $2; paperbacks and graphic novels are $1. Credit cards, tap-to-pay and cash are accepted. See more pricing and details at this link.
The event will open with a members’ night from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9. Folks can join the foundation at the door for a $25 annual membership fee.
