Lawrence community members can learn how to reduce their energy costs and promote sustainable living during the Energy Conservation Fair coming up at the library.

The City of Lawrence will host the event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont St. It’s free to attend and all are welcome.

Those in attendance can learn about weatherization, renewable energy, home energy audits, utility assistance programs and more.

“By offering clear, useful information and real-world examples, the fair encourages households to take measurable steps toward reducing energy use and costs,” according to a city announcement about the event.

The event will also offer “energy efficiency goodies, including weatherization kits,” according to the announcement.

Folks are encouraged to ride Lawrence Transit to the fair. See bus routes and schedules at lawrencetransit.org.
