The Lawrence Public Library’s fifth annual resource fair will provide free services to community members while connecting them with more than a dozen support organizations.

The Community Resource Fair will run from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at the library, 707 Vermont St.

Services and resources provided onsite at the fair will include COVID and flu shots; free haircuts on a first-come, first-served basis; a temporary clothing and shoe pantry; hygiene and toiletry products; free winter gear, including hats, mittens and gloves; and warm drinks.

There will be representatives onsite from sectors including health care and insurance, mental health and substance use aid, housing and wraparound support, legal services, disability advocacy and assistance for families with young children.

“We all hit bumps in the road and need help from our friends and neighbors from time to time,” the library’s event page reads. “Knowing where to turn can make all the difference.”

See this link for a complete list of organizations that will be present.

The event will take place in the auditorium, which is accessible from the Vermont Street entrance.

In the meantime, the library maintains an extensive community resource guide with contacts for food insecurity, health insurance, behavioral health care, housing, legal assistance, rent and utility assistance and more.
