University of Kansas instrumentalists and choral singers will perform at their annual Vespers concert, a holiday tradition.

KU School of Music’s 101st Vespers will feature John Rutter’s “Sing We to this Merry Company,” Ola Gjeilo’s “Alleluiah,” Tchaikovsky’s “Waltz of the Flowers” and more selections, according to a KU news release.

The KU Chamber Choir will also perform “Hope” by Zachary Moore and “Seeing the Star” by Ben Ponniah, alongside performances from the Lawrence Children’s Choir and the KU Trumpet Ensemble, according to the release.

The concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 at the Lied Center, 1600 Stewart Drive.

Tickets cost $11 for seniors and students and $14 for adults. Purchase tickets at the Lied Center box office, open 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays, or online via the Lied Center’s website.

A free livestream of the concert will be available at this link.

An additional concert this year will be held the following day at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park. The KU Symphony Orchestra and combined KU Choirs will perform at “Vespers on the Road,” but according to the ticket link on the JCCC website, the show is sold out.
