An annual holiday homes tour that helps fund a nonprofit’s efforts to create affordable housing is coming up Sunday, Dec. 7.
Lawrence Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to “build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable housing,” according to a news release from the organization. The organization has constructed 107 homes since 1989 and repaired dozens more, according to its website.
This year, the 21st annual Holiday Homes Tour will feature six homes, including one home that features 20 decorated trees.
The tour “offers a unique opportunity to experience the warmth and artistry of local homeowners and decorators as they transform their spaces into holiday showcases,” according to the release. “From cozy cottages to grand residences, each stop on the tour celebrates the magic of the season and the spirit of community.”
Tickets for the tour cost $35. They can be purchased online at this link or at the Lawrence Habitat for Humanity ReStore, 2108 W. 27th St., Suite C.
The tour runs from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7. Folks who purchase their tickets online can pick up their tickets and event bracelets at the ReStore starting at 11 a.m. that day.
