John Green fever will continue to sweep Lawrence with KU Reads’ spring slate of events themed around the author’s essay collection “The Anthropocene Reviewed.”
The KU Reads team announced the book would be at the center of their 2025-2026 programming in the fall.
This month, the Lawrence Public Library additionally revealed that it selected “The Anthropocene Reviewed” as its Read Across Lawrence (RAL) title this year, and is partnering with KU for some themed community events. RAL is an annual citywide book club and month of programming where the library hands out limited free copies of the chosen title. Learn more about it in this article.
In the fall through KU Reads, John Green gave a sold-out author talk at the Lied Center, and university organizers launched the Lawrence Reviewed project.
