The city plans to install new flooring in the bathrooms and resurface courts, according to an announcement on Lawrence Parks and Recreation’s Facebook page.

Work will be completed and the pavilion reopened on Monday, Sept. 1.

Access cards for the pavilion, 100 Rock Chalk Lane, are currently free of cost to Douglas County residents, though the city is considering charging fees to use rec centers. (Read more about that in the articles at this link.)

Its standard operating hours are 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
