The city is switching up which intersections are closed along Iowa Street as part of construction on the street, and also preparing to launch the Bob Billings Parkway improvement project.
Here are some notes from the city’s latest traffic update.
Intersections along Iowa Street:
The 19th and Iowa Street intersection has been opened Tuesday “with limited turning movement space” at Iowa, according to Michael Leos, a spokesperson for the city’s Municipal Services and Operations department.
Also Tuesday, city contractors have closed the 21st Street/Becker Drive intersection at Iowa Street to reconstruct the east side of the intersection.

“The traffic control on Iowa St. will not change during this time,” according to the city update.
This continued construction is part of the Iowa Street reconstruction project. The city expects to full reopen Iowa street by the end of the year.
Bob Billings Parkway between Kasold Drive and Monterey Way:
Bob Billings Parkway will be reduced to one lane of traffic each way from Kasold Drive to Monterey Way starting Wednesday, Nov. 12.
City crews will install a temporary asphalt overlay on the Bob Billings westbound lanes in preparation for a larger improvement project for the street that will start in December.
The lane reduction is expected to be wrapped up the week of Nov. 17.
