An upcoming event in the Nash Cares series, hosted by the Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center, will highlight issues around women’s mental health.

“March is Women’s History Month, a time to recognize the contributions, resilience, and ongoing struggles of women throughout history,” Robyn Wagner, health and workplace equity manager at Bert Nash, wrote in a news release. “In that spirit, please join a community conversation about equity, access, and representation in women’s mental health.”

The panelist lineup includes professional experts and people with lived experience. There will be speakers from Bert Nash, Melanated Maternal Therapy, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, DCCCA, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas and a professor from the University of Kansas Department of Psychology.

The event will run from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Thursday, March 12, in the meeting room on the second floor of the Community Health Facility, 200 Maine St., Suite A. Doors will open at 5 p.m., with light refreshments on offer.

The panel is free and open to the public. People can register at this link, or contact Wagner via phone at 785-830-1739 or email at rwagner@bertnash.org for assistance registering.
