Photos: First Nations Student Association makes KU history, raising tipi on campus

As part of Indigenous Peoples Day celebrations this week, students with the First Nations Student Association at the University of Kansas have made history, raising a tipi on the lawn of Strong Hall.

Haskell Indian Nations University students also helped with the efforts. Student leaders of both universities have worked to coordinate events this week to avoid conflicts.

The group is planning to take the tipi down at 5 p.m. Friday.
