The Lawrence City Commission cut its meeting short Tuesday evening because of audio problems for those attending via Zoom.

The commission approved its consent agenda and recognized winners of the Douglas County Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge. Charlie Andrade took first place, followed by Peter Morsches, Maddock Oberzan and Kenton Simmons in second, third and fourth, respectively, according to Douglas County.

The commission took a break to try to get the technical issues fixed, but it did not seem like that was going to be possible Tuesday evening so the meeting was adjourned just before 7:30 p.m.

A new meeting date will be announced for commissioners to receive a letter from the Community Police Review Board and hear an update on the “Strong, Welcoming Neighborhoods” portion of the city’s strategic plan.

See the full meeting agenda at this link. The commission is also set to meet Tuesday, Dec. 21, but that meeting’s agenda has not yet been posted.
