The University of Kansas commencement ceremony will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, according to an update from KU.
Commencement was set for 10:30 a.m. Sunday. However, severe storms are expected across northeastern Kansas Sunday morning.
The National Weather Service reports that large hail and damaging winds are possible with the strongest storms. There could also be briefly heavy rain and lightning, according to NWS.
Keep an eye on NWS’s website for weather updates.
“Graduates can gather on Memorial Drive prior to the start of the ceremony as long as there is no dangerous weather in the area,” according to KU’s graduation website.
