Reproductive Rights Panel set for Thursday at Lawrence Public Library

Speakers with a wide range of experiences and perspectives will participate in a reproductive rights panel Thursday in Lawrence.

Panelists will participate in a discussion “on the impacts of the recent Roe decision, the August 2nd Kansas constitutional amendment vote, intersectionality, access resources, and advocacy opportunities,” according to the Facebook event page. A question-and-answer session will follow.

The panel will be moderated by Aileen Berquist, director of policy for the ACLU of Kansas. Panelists will include:

• Kansas Sen. Marci Francisco, a Lawrence Democrat;
• Elise Higgins, director of reproductive rights at State Innovation Exchange;
• Sandy Brown, president of the Kansas Abortion Fund;
• and Donnavan Dillon, of Vote Neigh.

The panel is set to begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 21 in the auditorium of the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont St.
