Kids are welcome to visit Santa, get their photos taken and enjoy a cookie Monday and Tuesday afternoons this week at Liberty Hall.

“Kids will be able to choose from a variety of decorations and have their cookie customized by Eileen’s Colossal Cookies,” according to the Facebook event page.

The event is part of the annual Festival of Trees, which raises funds for the O’Connell Children’s Shelter. Organizers suggest a donation of $5 for adults and children older than 3, or a donation of $20 for families of four or more.

The Cookies with Santa events are set for 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, and 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Liberty Hall, 644 Massachusetts St.

Also, “Remember to grab your map/scavenger hunt sheet for the Gingerbread Houses on Parade which will be on display in various downtown storefronts,” the event page states.
