Lawrence restaurants are planning exclusive menus and deals for a 10-day culinary event.
This year’s ninth annual Lawrence Restaurant Week will include a wide variety of foods and drinks found at locally owned businesses across town, according to a news release. There will be something — or many things — for everyone to try out.
“Restaurants will showcase the best of what they have to offer with special menu features,” according to the release. “Some will feature fan favorites, and others will have special items or tastings. Diners will find something for every palate, price point, and service style. Diners with special dietary needs will find plenty to enjoy, with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free offerings.”
More than 40 restaurants and pubs participated in Lawrence Restaurant Week last year, featuring “appetizers and cocktails to main courses and desserts,” according to the release.
A percentage of the menu proceeds during this year’s event will benefit hospitality workers through the Hospitality Workers Relief Fund, according to the release. The fund began as an emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic and has since remained a source of aid to these local essential workers. Donations can also be made to the fund any time at this link.
Lawrence Restaurant Week begins on Thursday, Jan. 19 and will last through Sunday, Jan. 29.
