Three Kansas organizations will offer a free training session Monday about the ways powerful storytelling can contribute to LGBTQ+ advocacy.
Loud Light, an organization focused on increasing and encouraging youth civic participation, is partnering with the ACLU of Kansas and Equality Kansas to host the session, according to the event webpage.
“This training will teach attendees the importance of positive narratives and storytelling,” the event page says. “We will also share how both can be used as a source of resistance and good for LGBTQ+ Kansans.”
The training session is scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 18 at Art Love Collective, 646 Vermont St. in downtown Lawrence.
The event is free to attend but registration is required. Register on an online form via secure.everyaction.com.
