Note from the Times: This bestseller list comes to us straight from The Raven Book Store in Lawrence. See other editions of the list here.

Pretty funny that a store known for its cats has a Dog Man book as its number one bestseller of the last two weeks.

Elsewhere on the list is Stan Tekiela’s iconic “Birds of Kansas Field Guide,” a great book that’s been selling steadily at the Raven for decades. It’s great for the amateur birder — it has photographs, not illustrations, to help with accurately identifying birds. Conveniently, it’s also organized by color so you can quickly flip to the right section when you spot an avian friend.
