The restaurant is opening at 707 W. 23rd St., the former location of Mi Ranchito. Its doors will open at 11 a.m.
It “pays respect to Whataburger’s storied history while looking to the future with a forward-thinking design,” according to the release. “Features include a double drive-thru, ordering kiosks, and digital menu boards inside and out to best serve guests. There is also a custom Lawrence interior mural.”
Operating partners Natanya Turner Smith and Harsh Dave will lead a team of 65 employees, according to the release.
“They are ready to serve the community 24/7 in the dining room and at the drive-thru,” according to the release.
