The City of Lawrence is considering increasing the cost of parking throughout downtown, expanding enforcement hours and more. People who live and work downtown naturally bear the brunt of these costs.
“Song of the Sword,” a 1986 sword-and-sorcery movie created by a Lawrence cast and crew, has been lovingly re-edited for a fresh premiere at Liberty Hall.
Music lovers are invited Friday and Saturday to shop CDs, records and audio equipment that stand the test of time, all to benefit Audio Reader and the Lawrence library.

Those who dig through the music selection at the Lawrence Public Library’s Massive Music Sale can expect a different vibe than the typical clearance bins. The finds are “serious,” according to Angela Hyde, program coordinator for the library’s Friends and Foundation.
