The jury trial for a Lawrence teen charged in the shooting death of a Lawrence boy will be postponed more than three months as the defense awaits lab reports.
A judge ruled today that the next court hearing for the alleged shooter in the emotional case of a 14-year-old Lawrence boy’s death will be livestreamed on YouTube, but the courtroom will be closed to the public. Also, more charges have been filed in connection with the shooting.
A Lawrence man who had been facing two felony charges of aggravated assault after an incident outside of a vaccine clinic for kids last fall agreed to plead no contest on Monday to two misdemeanor charges, and he will serve a year of probation.
