What’s going on over there?

Oh, just Miss Gay Kansas United States Deja Brooks leading the Pride Ride while wearing a giant crown and stilettos.

Brooks, a Lawrence drag artist — who has had a very busy Pride Month as Grand Marshall of the Lawrence PRIDE parade down Massachusetts Street, Bingo host for a Lawrence Public Library Friends & Foundation fundraiser, preshow performer for the Free State Festival and much more — led a group of bicyclists down the Lawrence Levee Trail Sunday morning in a ride to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community.

The event was hosted by Trek Bicycle Lawrence. August Rudisell submitted these photos to the Times.
