Planned and unplanned maintenance have caused one of the city’s three aquatic facilities to close early, and another will close this weekend, the city said Friday.

The South Park wading pool was supposed to be open through Saturday, Aug. 7, but it “has been closed for the season due to a maintenance issue,” according to a city news release.

The outdoor pool will offer recreational swimming from 1-7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday through Sunday, Aug. 15, according to the release.
