Starting Monday, Aug. 2, the westbound lane of 19th Street will be closed from Mississippi Street to Maine Street, according to a news release from the city of Lawrence.

The eastbound lane will remain open, but the westbound lane will be closed for crews to repair the roadway through Friday, Aug. 13, according to the city. The time frame will allow proper cure time for new concrete, the release said.

Traffic control will be in place, and detours will route traffic from Louisiana Street to 23rd Street, then back up to 19th via Naismith Drive.
