KU basketball stars play in Rock Chalk Roundball Classic to help kids with cancer

Many familiar Jayhawk faces showed up for a showdown at Lawrence’s Free State High School Thursday night.

The 13th annual Rock Chalk Roundball Classic, a fundraiser that helps families of children who have cancer, this year honored “Big 3” 18-month-old Briella Hase, 8-year-old Riley Howell, and 8-year-old Matthew Martin.

Fundraising festivities will continue Friday with the first “Round-Bowl Classic,” where attendees will pair up with Jayhawk stars and PBA professionals for a fun evening of bowling.

The Roundball Classic has raised more than $671,000 over the years, according to its website. Baby Jay’s Legacy of Hope shares the same mission. Find out more at this link.
