More than two dozen bands and musical artists — including headliners The Travelin’ McCourys, who won the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album in 2019 — came to Lawrence this weekend for the first annual Kaw River Roots Festival.
One more performance from The Travelin’ McCourys and Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper was set to begin at 10:45 p.m. Saturday at The Bottleneck.
The festival asked attendees to show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19, or proof of a negative COVID test within the past 72 hours. Rapid testing was also available onsite.
