Event organizers from Lawrence’s Nothing Unique Organization and Praise Temple Church of God in Christ are seeking donations and volunteer help for their Trunk or Treat event.

From 3 to 7 p.m. on Halloween — Sunday, Oct. 31 — trunk-or-treaters can head to Broken Arrow Park for festivities such as bobbing for apples and a cake walk. The event will also feature a costume contest at 5:30 p.m.

Event organizers Yolanda Franklin and Jesslyn Jenkins have set up an Amazon registry of items that are still needed for the event that members of the community can choose to donate, such as decorations and gift cards for contest prizes. Volunteers can also sign up for a range of event duties, from running activity booths and judging contests to decorating trunks.
