The incident was reported shortly before 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

First responders over the scanner said they were seeking a known male suspect who had been last seen heading southbound from the area.

Douglas County jail records show that the 19-year-old Lawrence man named on the scanner was arrested a few blocks away shortly after the incident. He was being held without bond Sunday on suspicion of aggravated battery.

First responders triaged one patient as code green, meaning their injuries were not believed to be serious. Officers requested another medic for a sick person at the same address around 1:45 a.m. It was not immediately clear whether any patient was transported for medical treatment.

Lawrence police did not immediately respond to an email asking for more information Sunday.
