The East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 E. 15th St., will be closed for maintenance next week, according to the city.

The parking lot will also be closed as the maintenance project will require a large crane to be used. An HVAC unit is being replaced, the city said in a release Friday, and the center will be closed Monday, March 7 through Friday, March 11.
The Community Building, 115 W. 11th St.; Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 W. 27th St.; and Sports Pavilion Lawrence, 100 Rock Chalk Lane, will all be open for public use while the East Lawrence rec center is closed.
