Thankfully, no one reported any injuries to police as the result of a compact SUV striking a home near Harvard Road and Wakarusa Drive in Lawrence Thursday evening.
Lt. David Ernst of LPD said officers were dispatched around 7:20 p.m. to the home at Summerfield Court and Harvard Road.
The driver of the SUV was heading eastbound on Harvard Road, Ernst said, and it was reported that the vehicle left the roadway and struck the wall to a garage of the residence.
The vehicle was towed from the scene, and the driver was issued a citation for driving too fast for the conditions of the roadway, Ernst said.
